A great place to stay on the Garden Route with easy access to the Heads, islands and the city but without the annoyances because it is a quiet place offering great views. The rooms are huge and all have access to the terraces, the main (breakfast, lobby, sitting) room is subtly decorated. The manager Chrissy is a wonderful person to talk to. They are still finishing the place (but not when guests are around so no disturbances) so the place will only get better over time.

We've found this place whilst travelling The garden route and for us it was one of the little places we didn't want to leave. So we didn't and extend :) Chrissy is an amazing host and such a lovely person. The rooms are just crazy cool. Love this place.

The 47th on Howard Lodge is in a quiet but safe location with parking right outside. From here you can easily start trips to Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. It is a maximum of 10 minutes by car to the waterfront in Knysna.||The accommodation was clean, the beds were comfortable, the owner was friendly and everything was perfect. Only breakfast wasn't served until 8 a.m., which was a little too late for us who wanted to go on day trips. But it tasted very good. :-)

This is a B&B plus! Great building, which is set up as a hotel. Beautiful room, with gigantic bed and wonderful mattress. The hostess Chrissie is extremely friendly and personable, which made us feel immediately at home. We had a nice large terrace near the room, with a nice swimming pool downstairs. Breakfast was provided by two sweet and extremely friendly ladies. The choice was enormous and really left nothing to be desired. In short, the planned one-night stop was extended to a second night and we actually didn't want to leave. We would like to thank all three ladies for the warm hospitality we received. You will definitely see us again next time.

The hotel is wonderful. The rooms are large and well equipped, including plug adapters.||We were very well received, we were able to use the common area to drink wine and order food.||The breakfast was delicious.||And the service was great! ||I can't imagine how it could be better.||If you have a car, don't even think about staying in the center. It's worth staying a little further away but in great accommodation.

Everything was perfect. Cleanliness, kindness, comfort, bedding, WiFi, ... A big thank you to Chrissie who was a perfect hostess. Breakfast, made in front of you, in an open kitchen is a real plus!

Huge room, super comfortable, very good breakfast. Situated in a very peaceful and quiet area, 5 minutes drive to the waterfront. 2 minutes from Bosun's Pub, which is a great option for a beer. I also recommend going to the local Mitchell's brewery which is next to the waterfront.

Huge and well-furnished rooms, clean, nice staff, nice pool, delicious breakfast, great price, quiet location, everything was really great! We would definitely book the 47th on Howard again!
