M. n.We arrived at 13:00 even though check in was at 14:00. We anticipate a wait.....
After checking in at 13:00 we were told the rooms were not available understandably so as we were early.
At 14:00 we went back and lucky for us we were second in the queue of about 15 or more people waiting for their rooms only being helped by one lady. Again we were told the room we were allocated is not available and that she will changed our room. We only got to our room at 15:15 because of the major delays at reception. A tip for Emerald please get more receptionists especially during peak seasons.

It will be nice to stay here for 1 to 2 nights, there are a lot of activities you can do in the resort.
c. k.Fun, chalets are beautiful, just the cleaning staff needs management, changing towels if necessary and thorough cleaning of toilets.

Y. R.Beautiful resort with a lot of activities for all ages. Well cared for gardens, chalets are being renovated, many small game that can be seen even from the hotel restaurant. We stayed in the hotel and the rooms are well appointed with all the necessary comforts. The casino is very quiet during the week and so are the restaurants. My only 😞 was the reception staff in the evening. They refused to arrange a shuttle or lend us an umbrella as it was raining as it is quite a walk to the restaurants in the entertainment complex.

A. M.Such a tranquil setting. Hotel bed is very comfortable. They do provide you with 2 bottles of filtered water and yummy nougat cookies! We were given an interleading room and the guests on the other end were extremely rowdy, thus disturbing sleep.
Loads of activities for young and old.
The breakfast was okay. We have noticed the standard has dropped over the years.
Overall we had a fairly good stay. Thank you:)
p. h.I went to the bar just to have few drinks, the guy who working there made me feel I was at home us I was alone with no friends but I ended up spending almost 5hrs, thank you bar man with your warm hospitality indeed your'e one of the few. Continue with the good work.
G. S.We stayed in the new units. We stayed in unit one. It's a small unit.
*Regarding the units:
There are some small challenges as usual with new units. The sliding doors are difficult to open and close, so once it was closed, we left it closed... then the toilet was leaking water. There were also issues with the TV channels. Not all were loaded, and reception had to call IT to get the TV working. Also, the aircon gave an error reading the night before we left. These are minor issues. The rooms are small, and the staff don't clean under the beds or behind the sink as some places have dust and spiders. One room was two single beds which can be moved together. The main room and the other room have a vent on top of the bed, which isn't an aircon, and if it was, it doesn't work. The aircon is in the lounge. It is a large aircon. The kitchen has a 2 plate electric stove. Small fridge. There is nothing to write home about and perfect for a weekend getaway. There is tea and coffee in the units like how they provide in the hotels.
*Loadshedding and water shedding:
We had no issues with loadshedding or water
*The location:
The location of the shop at the resort and the people are awesome. Small shop, which is equipped with all essentials. The resort and the entire place are really safe, and you feel free to walk around and explore. A lot of people walk in the morning on the road in the resort and on the road to the aqua doom. It's really nice. The location has everything in the vacinity. There's some wildlife that comes up to the units. The buck that is and very friendly peacocks and pen hens. I would not recommend feeding then.
*The activities:
The activities are so awesome. Take your camera. There are tons of photo opportunities. The place has so many activities and is very well worth it. We started with zoo and game drives and with a planned itinerary because you need to fit in with the schedules it is really so relaxing and worth it. At the aquadoom, there's tin pin bowling and arcade, and the putt putt and wall climbing is all included in one price of the aqua doom for people who stay at the resort. The putt putt course is really nice and there's a jungle gym play area at the end of it also. The hotel offers the massage, and they can only cater for two people at a time, and the liquid lounge has set times, so phone to book to avoid disappointment. The game drive was so special, with animals coming up to the clever guides really experienced guides.
* The aquadoom:
The acqadoom, aka Water Park, has some sus new couples playing in the rock pools, and in the jacuzzi, there was a wet wipe floating around, and they switched the jacuzzi off also. The water slide is open on specific times on Friday. Sat and sun, there are more lifeguards. Eventually, the aqua doom gets really busy, and it's really nice but busy.
There is a chip and dip open on weekends on the park side through the water park. There's towels lifejackets and a lot of things you can just enjoy without stressing too much in case you forget something. There's so much option for food. Sausage saloon, pizza, wimpy as fast foods, and then the pubs like capelllos and gas monkey. Gas monkey food takes a bit longer because they are very busy. Very, very nice
It's well worth a visit the resort is really nice the people are so nice. It was an enjoyable, relaxing, and safe weekend getaway. What more can you ask for, really?
T. S.Bussiness trip as a trade member of a hardware group. Catering was great. We had accommodation at the Chalets. Newly renovated and clean. Exhibition hall also great. Just the staff can be a bit more friendly. Highly recommended.

N. S.I had such an amazing time at the Animal Kingdom. We went for a game drive there and it was such an asking experience. The game driver/guid was so informative and educational. He was so entertaining and offered to take pics for everyone at each stop. The drive is so punctual, started right on time so don’t get there late. We saw so many animals and only paid around R130 per person. It’s value for money and the best game drive, I highly recommend
M. G.Always a dream staying here. Check in is always quick and easy. Chalets are nice. Lots of things to do for kids as well. Aqua dome is the best and there are nice restaurants there too for a nice dinner out. Casino is also very nice however they do not open enough tables and it gets extremely crowded.
A. M.Oh Man, I almost forgot how beautiful this place is. Emerald offers a unique sense of experience compared to the other casinos. Ritch in wild life experience and indoor water theme parks, it is a rare experience. There's also bowling, night clubs, basically, there's everything for everyone. Absolutely beautiful 😍

E. H.We went to the Aquadome, Your entrance fee gets You a free game of Adventure golf and free Wall climbing, if You get there in time as they don't explain the times to You at any point. The slide closes down at times during the day at random points without warming and the pumps shut off at 7pm even though the Aquadome only closes at 8pm. Most of the restaurants just outside the Aquadome also close around 7:30pm and the staff are rather eager to go home earlier if possible. The staff who You pay and who hand over Your bands at the entrance to the Aqudome are also rather rude, more interested in their phones than their customers. Having said that, the Aqudome is awesome and My family and I loved it!

M. B.The GM needs to take responsibility for the feral sick cats. Test them for feline leukaemia. Vaccinate and sterilise. It's heart breaking to see them in the mornings. Some are very sick. This has not changed since I was there a few years ago

S. G.I booked online but I couldn't pay online. This is very strange for such a big establishment. Instead they asked me to send my credit card details on a form,they don't even allow to pay upon arrival (as per their information suggested). It's so very risky to share credit card details and I think you should look at this.
P. m.The service was very good. I liked how friendly the staff was. I really liked our game drive driver (Thato), he's a great person, he made us enjoy the drive. My partner had so much fun watching the wild animals. It was a great experience for both of us.
M. M.Very lovely place. Went in December when it was very busy and couldn't get into the Water Dome. Will definitely go back off peak season. We still found lots of other things to do. Restaurants, zoo, picnic space. Great for whole family
B. M.We had a wonderful holiday experience. From the warm reception to the comfortable accommodation and many activities available. If your budget allows it, try booking one of the bush lodges and you won't regret. The lodges are stand alone units. Ours had two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a guest toilet, kitchen, dining room and a veranda with chairs and table. Wildlife roams freely around the lodges - this is awesome. It has that wilderness feel to it.The kids loved the Aqua dome and animal world. My highlight was the game drive. The lodge is serene and well kept. All the staff members we interacted with were friendly. We are definitely coming back!
S. T.The process between entering the resort to my desired destination was quick and easy. The staff at the gate took my temperature, asked me to wear a mask and ordered me to fill in my contact details just in case someone was found with corona. We are at Gas Monkey and the service there was quick and positive. The waiter tended to us diligently given that it was a busy weekend and the restaurant was full. Our meals were cooked perfectly and sizing too was enough. Definitely going back there again with my friends

Gracefully there weren't a lot of people which worked best for a person like me who doesn't like crowded spaces 💃💃💃💃💃💃💃 the staff was very helpful, they helped us understand how to play and all of that.. overall I had an amazing time

B. K.Casino is small but active and doesn't pay out too badly. A variety of new games on offer. It's a struggle to get a waiter and the beverages take long to come once its been ordered. We had quite a few hours of entertainment there. Bathrooms are fresh and clean and the environment is quite respectable.

J. B.Went as a family to do rock climbing snd played mini golf. We were greeted by monkeys that where enjoying the morning sun which was so cute. The grounds where clean and the bathroom was up to code. They have a kids jungle gym which is fantastic for the little ones to burn energy.

Poor communication and information from the resort staff particularly the hotel staff who constantly had contradicting information regarding meals activities etc. We had to constantly probe for information. We left with the impression that the hotel could do with better management. overall it was a good experience.

M. R.The chalet rooms are spacious, love how the animals interact. The aquadome is not as great as I expected and no covid social distancing was in place. Unfortunately the weekend I went it was raining so we couldn't do the game drive perhaps that would've pushed up my star rating. Would love to try out the Bush lodge or the hotel next time but won't be at the top of my potential holiday destinations.
m. t.The place is beautiful,clean and quiet. The staff members easily assist and are very friendly. I enjoy cup of coffee or tea every time I visit the place. You will receive a first class service
A. F.Beautiful structure, comfortable and comfortable rooms, friendly and attentive reception staff. | Abundant breakfast. | Terrible room service. They work badly and only when they feel like it. Twice I needed to use them and twice they demonstrated little desire to work.
M.The hotel is in the middle of a beautiful park, you can see wild animals and in the parking lot you can meet small monkeys. Everything is very characteristic but cleanliness needs to be improved for a hotel of that level.
