R. P.I delayed doing this because I was afraid of the surgery, however it's over in like 5 mins (literally). Dr Aleksic and his team are super friendly, comforting, you know everything beforehand and the whole process is super smooth. They also include checkups every few months for 1 year to ensure everything is fine. They really are such a good team. And my eyes, wow, I've got perfect vision! It's so great not having to wear spectacles or contact lenses and being able to swim in the ocean without your eyes burning like crazy.
I have already referred a friend and they're super happy too! I cannot recommend their team more!

E. L.Being optimistic by nature I was hopeful that my vision would greatly improve after cataract surgery. Even so, I was pleasantly surprised.
Within a day or two after each of the two procedures I could see clearly with the newly implanted trifocal lense, even noticing never before seen details when looking at the view. In stead of just seeing a tree, I can now see every individual leaf! And after being dependent on glasses for decades, I can now read with ease without them.
I want to thank Dr. Aleksic for the amazing job he has done. Throughout the process he and his team were very helpful, friendly and supportive.
T.I underwent cataract surgery and the insertion of multi focal lenses in both eyes. The whole process from first consultation to post surgery follow up was very well organised and professionally executed. My eyesight has been restored completely and even a few days post surgery I no longer feel that I need to wear glasses. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr Zoran Aleksic to those requiring treatment for cataracts.

All the staff members went out of their way to make you feel comfortable, the procedure itself was completely painless and I still can't believe how fast it went. B.About 10 years ago, my optician let me know that I had developed cataracts in both eyes but told me that we didn’t need to do anything as yet as my sight could easily be corrected via spectacles. 10 years later, at least 5 pairs of specs at +R 10k a pop, dull/greyed/misty vision and I still had the same frustrating visual problems. We were treating the effect, not the cause.
In early April, I revisited the optician and expressed my frustration.
The optician referred me to Dr Zoran Aleksic with whom I made an appointment immediately after Easter. Friendly team, very knowledgeable and interested in my sight, not the sale of ancillary products. They shared their information in a very comfortable way, allowing me to make my own decisions with their guidance and respectful advice.
2 operations followed on 26 April and 3 May at the Peninsular Eye Clinic which is part of Kingsbury Hospital in Clairemont – absolutely no pain or discomfort, just did what I was told to do – ok, I had to stump up quite a lot of money but medical aid is picking up the vast majority and I estimate that the whole process will cost me less than R 2 500 after my medical aid reimbursements - a fraction of the price I was paying for just 1 set of glasses.
Now, the all-important result … I have never seen the sky so blue, the roses so red and I don’t have to look for those b......y glasses as I can see the computer screen and everything around me, no problem. I can even read my book without aide. Oh yes, the 2nd operation was less than 24 hours ago. There is some visual stabilisation still to happen but already, my sight is immensely better than before. I will be having my final review with Dr Aleksic and team in a couple of weeks.
Why did I take so long to get this done?

E. L.I've been wearing prescription glasses for the past 25years; 12years with multi-focal lenses. My dream was to be able to see without glasses and Dr. Zoran Aleksic convinced me that he could make this happen by performing a cataract surgery, replacing my God-given lenses with Zeiss lenses.
When stepping into his practice in Sea Point, which has an amazing view over the Atlantic Seaboard and Robben Island, you are met by friendly staff and are immediately aware that this practice has been designed to have a modern look and feel, with state-of-the-art, modern equipment , mostly Zeiss German made; which instills trust, competency and assurance that I've made the correct decision in choosing this practice.
I've decided to do both eyes on the same day and the surgery was performed by Dr. Aleksic at The Peninsula Eye Hospital in Claremont. Personally I experienced the surgery as very interesting, informative and stress free; Dr. Alesic, throughout the surgery explained everything he was doing in detail. I could read the time off the ward clock 3 minutes after the surgery....it was 15H48. AMAZING!!
Today is one month post surgery, and after testing, Dr. Aleksic noted that everything is 100%. He absolutely delivered on his promise; I can see very clear without glasses...near and far. It's almost as if a miracle has happened. Thank you Dr. Aleksic and amazing staff!!
