I wanted to commend 2 young employees: Chadley and Hassan that work at the Vinyard Engen Garage in Newlands/Claremont on main rd. These 2 young men went out of their way to help me yesterday when my car stopped 200M from the pump. Chadley, on his lunch break noticed that I was having car trouble and quickly came over to check if I was OK and if he could help. I explained that I had run out of petrol and that my gage I suspected wasn't working properly. He then tried to push me on his own to the pump. On realising this was impossible on his own, he went to the pump with me and Hassan fashioned a funel out of a bottle and together they carried a large 10L can of petrol out to the car. They tried to fill it, but with a built in special lock it was impossible, so they both helped me push the car back uphill back to the garage where I finally filled up. These 2 were absolutely outstanding in their service and work ethic and kept me calm and safe (a stressed-out female driver!!). Their work ethic was so good that they even tried to refuse the tip I wanted to give them saying it was their duty to me as an Engin customer. Anyway, I just wanted to bring this to the attention of manage t, especially their branch manager so that they can be commended for their impeccable service. Best Regards Ritu vanVelden

The selection in store is great. The addition of Krispy Kreme donuts, is having a negative affect on my running, lol... The staff in-store, are friendly and the guys working as Petrol attendants are attentive, friendly and always willing to help. The manager is always around and has made themselves available when a problem arises, which is really positive.

This is the best Engen in Cape Town. The staff are amazingly friendly. The security guards are incredibly helpful - they're always helping shoppers with their parcels. It's an extremely clean store, and they never run out of stock of anything.

Perfect place to get food and fuel during the day as well as after hours as there is a Woolworths 24 hour shop as well as a Steers inside.

Probably the busiest filling station in the area. Not to mention the convenience of having a woollies convenience store inside as well. The people make the feeling of using this busy spot such bliss with their kindness and will to assist.

Friendly staff and service all through the day and night, vast variety of foods and beverages, open 24 hours and there's a 24 hour Steers as well, great for late night meals.

Cozy little Woolworths store. One of the few places to sell banting products especially a decent banting bread. They have a great selection of decent fatty biltong as well.
