This venue is absolutely stunning. Unassuming from the outside but once you're inside, it's breathtaking. A glass marquee was the perfect finishing touch. Great for intimate weddings. Food was world class! I would definitely recommend the pumpkin fritters and caramel sauce!

This is one of the most stunning wedding venues I've ever seen. The approach to this venue is through a none descript street in orange grove that does not prepare for what's lies behind the gates. When the gates open you are greeted by a modern but traditional feeling wedding venue garlanded by well manicured flowers, bushes, and walls that isolate from the buzz of JHB. It has its own traditional cozy chapel, through which you can peer into a lovely garden. Once in the garden you are surrounded by wedding delights. A beautiful glass marquee that evokes glitz, a bell tower to announce your naptuals, and a flowery wedding arch to delight any princesses. One thing though, this place is pricey and will require a robust budget.

We recently held my daughters wedding at Shepstone Gardens and what an incredible experience! From the moment we had our first meeting to the actual day our planner Sinead and the rest of the team were nothing but helpful and accomodating, never turning down a request but making everything happen as we wanted it. They are a fun bunch, bubbly and amazing humans. The decor was fairytale, the setting is beautiful, the catering , the music absolutely perfect. We cannot express our gratitude enough for an extremely memorable day. They deliver an amazing service, the staff are prepared and friendly always attentive to ones needs. Good venue, great gardens and private areas - parking area is a concern for safety and security so would appreciate that the venue carers for security services in the area considering the size of their events in relation to the available parking spaces. The dance area next to the bar lacked a proper aircon which is a pity as we got extremely overheated in 5 minutes

I had my wedding here in April. Absolute dream come true. Pros: This place is magical The venue is a must see, it looks like a fairy tale, every corner is a special photo moment, your guests will be kept very busy. I was blown away, and my guests are still talking about it. You actually don’t have to to do much to the place in terms of decor. Ken and his team are very professional, very accommodating and will do whatever they can to make your day special. Cons: The parking is ver tight, and although they have security guards to help with off street parking it’s a bummer that guests have to park outside. The venue is probably best for 150 people, I had 200+ people and it was snug Although they have an in-house wedding planner who is super professional and has lots of experience, I felt the advise was in favor of the suppliers that the venue is affiliated to versus perhaps what was best for me especially decor wise so i was generally sceptical and ended up using external suppliers. Not sure I whether got the most from that full planning option, retrospecively I would go with the on the day coordination option The venue is on the higher end of the wedding venue price range

An amazing place to take a stroll through, absolutely beautiful sprawling gardens, which are amazingly kept and a wonder to have a walk through with friends during the gin afternoons - photo opportunities are bountiful, and when they have their gin afternoons on Sundays, it's an incredibly relaxing afternoon out with friends. All you can drink, for a fixed per person entrance fee.
