Had a wedding at a spot right next door to the Big Tree. Could not have asked for a better place to overnight. What a beautiful place. Very neat gardens and lovely rooms. It feels like I was in the midlands, KZN. The owner , Sonja, was hands on with all our requests. Special thanks to Anna, who was looking after me as well. All the rooms are named after all the tribes in SA. So much thought was put into designing and making it feel like you far from all the noise of the city. You can see the love and care of owners and management. The breakfast was filling and I loved the savoury pancakes. The fruit , yogurt and juice was on the table and you get a good helping with eggs, bacon ect. They have been going since 2003 and have a big swimming pool and tennis court. Also a church to attend on a Sunday. Really loved my stay with them.
