Niklaas & Nita Driving School is without a doubt one of Stellenbosch's greatest driving schools! Niklaas, my instructor, was incredibly patient with me and quite relaxing, cracking a lot of jokes. That was extremely beneficial to me and helped to calm my nerves. Their service and level of support are unmatched when compared to other 'driving schools' (I tried other driving schools before and failed) I recommend Niklaas & Nita Drivingschool, for anyone who struggles with nervousness on the road, they created a very warm and nurturing environment for me to practice my driving skills comfortably. Both Niklaas and Nita are punctual, and very open to your questions and concerns. The driving methods and skills they teach you have real world application and if you follow them you can easily overcome the driving license test.

Niklaas recently helped me to pass my driving test. I am a driver with many years driving experience, not only in South Africa but also in many other countries, driving both left handed and right handed cars. Having been out of South Africa for most of my adult life I returned and found that my original licence was redundant. As a consequence I had to take the test all over again. Having seen the stress my daughters went through to get their licences and on advice from others I decided to take lessons to prepare for the driving test. I am very fortunate to have chosen Niklaas to prepare me for the test. Without his help I am convinced that I would not have passed. Niklaas has a very structured course, which takes you through the yard tests, followed by the road test. He follows exactly the same sequence as the testing officer does. He gave me "homework" in the form of a written sheet with the step-by-step manoeuvres required for each of the docking, parking and three point turns, in the sequence they are performed the day of the test. Included on the homework sheet were all the checks required externally and internally as well as the procedure before driving off with the test inspector. Niklaas is very personable and patient. He recognises where you are having difficulty and helps by getting you to repeat the exercise without any fuss. Observation and checking the blindspot is extremely important and as such he drums this observation sequence into you, both in the yard and on the road. I would highly recommend Niklaas.
