I tripped while running on an extremely irregular sidewalk, resulting in a direct hit to my face, breaking off more than half of one of my front teeth. Living in Johannesburg the past year from the US, I didn’t have a dentist in South Africa— I imagined I would need to fly back home to get care. After reading glowing reviews, I was able to contact Dr Alberts, who found time to see me that morning. From the moment I walked into the modern, sparkling clean office and interacted with receptionist and technical staff, I was reassured that we had selected well. Dr Alberts assessed the status of my jaw and other teeth, looked at the panorex X-rays taken with an ultra-modern machine, and then preceded to precisely and clearly describe the options for the way forward. With perfect support from his assistant (it seemed that they must do this procedure often because she did what was required with very little verbal instruction), Dr Alberts preceded to work meticulously and skillfully to place a resin composite (to carry me through the immediate future). The result was nothing short of a work of art. When I left his office (<5 h after my “face-plant”), I had a better appearance of my front tooth than when I woke up that morning. I doubt that I could have found a dentist and office of this caliber back home in the US. My wife and I will be back for routine dental care.

Impressive service received from the lady that booked my appointment, the friendly receptionist / dental assistant to the Dr's consultation. The Dr. was patient, very knowledgeable and provided alternatives that are less evasive and cost effective on the dental procedures require. The dental studio is also very clean, and the equipment is modern. Can't wait to visit them again soon. I would recommend them!

Absolutely brilliant team! I’ve avoided dentists for years until now. Such a friendly and lovely group of professionals who are very accommodating. I know that my teeth are always safe in their hands. Dr Alberts was extremely efficient and reliable. Samantha really looks at holistic care of teeth. I’ve had quite a bit of work done on my teeth with this team, from crowns to emergencies to a general cleaning. Everything was done with great care and attention to detail. Definitely would recommend! Best dental team around ;)

Hi Guys, if you are looking for quality, reliability, confidence,and a professional that I would say is passionate and pedantic about his work, then I would recommend Dr Alberts and his amazing crew. Best service ever! The assistants and the Drs are so kind and so sweet and the Dr throughly communicates what will be done with your teeth to get your smile to look great and to ensure all is done correctly to achieve the perfect smile goal! Everyone showed great enthusiasm - during this difficult time with the pandemic. I’ve travelled the world and back and I never expected that good service would be in my own country. A supremely caring, sensitive, professional and expert team lead by Dr Edwin Alberts. The final result is excellent beyond my expectations. I felt very comfortable and secure primarily because of their expertise and high tech equipment but additionally, because of their care and sensitivity to a nervous patient like me. I am really not a fan of the Dentist in general, so having to face the possibility of having to do an implant, scared the living daylights out of me!. As Murphy would have his law, I ended up having to have a molar tooth on each side removed and implants done!! Melrose dental team were friendly and helpful right form the start, explaining each step in detail, and also the quote. No hidden costs or parts of the procedure that I was not aware of. Now, you won't believe me, but it was almost painless, both implants! The extent of my pain, was a bit of discomfort after the procedure...noting else, I did not even have to take pain medication. If you are looking for a modern Dentist, with no fuss, hassle or pain, Melrose Dental is for you!
