B. K.We did an 11 day self-drive safari to Kruger and several other parks. The vehicle was rugged and handled the 4x4 tracks well. There was an alignment problem that we didn't realize until hitting freeway speeds. But that was our only difficulty. Rugged camping, something Americans typically would not do. We saw zero Americans in our journey.
F. A.I received my 4x4 from Avis Safari Rentals near O.R. Tambo airport (ca. 10min). After having seen many 4x4 equipped safari rental cars on my trip, I can say that Avis has developed and engineered a super product. It's absolutely wellorganized, where every single piece has its fixed place. Roof top tent for 2, photovoltaic generator to charge 2 batterie, LED lightings, 90l fridge and freezer, 60l water tank and 140l long-range tank. Of course the stuff is friendly and professional. I would not look for another safari rental.

Always bakkies (0.5 ton and 1 ton) and trucks available, as well as special fitted camping bakkies. I always come and receive amazing service, together with clean working new bakkies. I wouldn't consider going to any other bakkie rental in JHB.
