Love Platō in Hermanus!! Such a cool, unique bulidng, and a great location, walking distance to the old harbour pathway. Great for grabbing a coffee and heading out for a walk to explore Hermanus. And always friendly staff with great service and great coffee :)

I wanted to give 1000 stars for service - WOW!!! I don't even drink coffee (!) but popped my head round this cool little thatched cottage and, without prompting, was given a bespoke rundown of their comprehensive and extensive menu. I was completely hooked and settled down on a sofa outside with a delicious OPHELIA (triple brewed rooibos with white hot chocolate and micro foam). There were super cute cookies on the counter and a touching note was inscribed on my cup - which really made my day! ♡ The entire experience sparked complete and utter JOY!!!!

Super quaint coffee spot in historic building. Very friendly staff and management. Good place to sit for a while and have a nice coffee and cake, even check email on their wifi if you are a workaholic.

We discovered Plato on our first day in Hermanus and visit it every day. The coffee is amazing and the staff are very friendly and warm. It is the best coffee in town.
