Broadway Coffee & Café offers a solid dining experience with a nice touch of Portuguese flair. The food was simple but well-made. I had a croissant and a pastel de nata, both of which were fresh and tasty, paired with a good cup of coffee. The prices are reasonable, making it a good spot for a quick bite. The atmosphere is relaxed, with a clear nod to Portuguese culture through its décor—flags, scarves, and memorabilia that give it a bit of character. It’s a comfortable spot to grab a snack or a quick coffee. Definitely a place to visit if you’re into Portuguese pastries!

I have grown up in this amazing spot, My late Dad had the shop across the road. As a little girl I watched the baker and knew Manny the late owner of the Bakery. Today seeing Ricky his son was a highlight, but the best is watching the regulars enjoying seeing each other sharing hugs and stories. So good to step back in time and be at Broadway Bakery and Deli. The owner and staff are incredible, the food and coffee the best, stepping into Portugal without boarding a flight!! Thank You for a wonderful spot in Cape Town all these years later. I love bringing friends in to feel the love that I felt growing up with My Dads shop and Memories. Keep Going and passing on new memories to the next generation Please.

The new owners have stocked the store with a larger variety of Portuguese products. Looking forward to seeing this store grow. Small variety of cheeses, cured meats, sausages and good quality Bacalhau! Finally a place where you can buy more than just pastel de nata. Also great to see the store packed with Portuguese people drinking their coffee and savoring something from the deli. Great little gem.

For years we have been going to Broadway for Bacalhau and Rissois de Camarao especially over the festive period. The food is absolutely fantastic, they also have a little coffee shop inside while you wait for your order or you can browse the various imports they stock if you find yourself missing something traditional. Best to try and order ahead during the busy times because they tend to be quite busy, highly recommended.
