Typical bar style food and done really well here. Surprising how reasonable the prices are as well. I tried so many items, all were good. Overall food standard is quite high. Service and vibe is great. Good visit, will be doing this again.

I would definitely recommend this place. Today is the third day in a row that we have ordered in. Love their gourmet burgers, chips and onion rings combo, love their milkshakes too. They offer quality food and good portions without a hefty charge. Overall great experience.

I absolutely love Waxy's. Incredible service, delicious food and a wide variety of drinks. They have a big selection of on tap beers. The cocktails on menu are mostly gin based, but the capable bar staff can take requests. A great chilled pub with comfy seating and great atmosphere. We came for the Sunday lunch for the first time since moving to Umhlanga and it was great value for money and absolutely delicious. Phone ahead to check what roast meat they are serving if you have a specific diet. Definitely worth a visit.

Excellent Wednesday special, can't fault it. 2 burgers (gourmet, mind you) chips and onion rings.....and 2 mini draughts for R149. Value for money-check Delicious-check Great atmosphere-check Will certainly be back next week Don't forget happy hour 4-6pm Mondays to Fridays R25 castle tank draught. Making this a regular outing.

Large airconditioned dinning areas, clean , and friendly staff with an close by car park.I enjoyed potatoe skins which is normally hard to find, well cooked and a filling meal for R75.00. Capable of dealing with big tables , without waiting for ever.Good feature for Sunningdale.

I have now been here 3 times. Love meeting my family and friends for the sport. Great service, first waiter was Liam his shift ended , second waiter also Liam lol. Both gave us awesome service 👏. Returning on 31 Jan to try their Wednesday special. Note that you need to book via email for the Wednesday special , which is basically 2 gourmet burgers with 2 beer for R165. I'm looking forward to this. BTW, the best sirlion steak I have had whilst living in Durban.

I own a couple of restaurants in Umhlanga. When I want a little time out with my partner, I go to Waxies in Sunningdale. I feel the love as soon as I step inside the shop, whether they are busy or not. The waitrons know their menu and I ALWAYS receive what is promised on the menu. Today was the eisbine, no bells and whistles, no fancy stuff, just lekker lekker! Consistency is king. My “timeout” place.

They make the most amazing beef burgers. Beers and Burgers are so delicious. Been here many times they are very unaccommodating towards none whites. Waiters and staff seem very racist and are Abit rude and unpleasant to none whites. As a result we order and collect from here.

The kind of place, where regulars have their own tables and preferred tables. Friday nights are even busier as there is live music. Now having the same surname as the second part of the company name, does not make me entitled to any special service or prices! Sadly so. Our party enjoyed all the food ordered. My constructive critism is that there is only one small size Cuppachino cup/ mug! This was overcome by being able to order Cuppachinos from the store a couple of meters down the centre. Great to see that businesses can coexist and assist one another in these harsh trading conditions. The steak was cooked as ordered. Other members in the party enjoyed their orders. Being of Irish decent, it would be rude not to consume the local Irish main export beverage. The band was above average and whilst there was rugby on the TV screens, some people still danced. I would certainly like a regular table and would certainly use my table!

Quiet on a Sunday night. Excellent T-bone beautifully cooked for hubby. I had a Mozambican dish with chicken schitzel topped with a spicy calamari and choruzo sauce. Very yummy. Friendly waitresses and a lovely ambience

A proper Irish Pub experience in the northern coastal suburbs, not as authentic and worn in as the Westville branch but the food is great, the beer is cold and the service friendly!!
