I like the idea of this place and for the most place it’s executed well. The atmosphere and vibe they’ve created inside is nice and upmarket. All the facilities and equipment are well maintained and work as expected. The service is a bit hit and miss I found. Our waitress was very friendly but the service was incredibly slow and the reception staff were not really friendly or helpful. The bouncers were nice though. Also on Saturdays you can’t book for bowling so just have to hope and wait that you will get a spot. The drinks are quite standard joburg prices and their signature cocktails are very good. The food menu is limited to pizzas and a sharing platter, although the pizzas are very good. I’d say the major downfalls are the entrance fee, the fact that you have to come in through the arcade at the zone and just how busy it was which I think is why the service wasn’t good. I will be coming back I’m sure but maybe not on a Saturday.

If you’re over 21 and looking for a fun night out, give Cracker Zac’s a try! R50.00 get’s you in, of which R25.00 is to play, but load up your play card because you’re going to want to have fun! They’ve got a lovely bar with amazing cocktails and you’re free to play arcade games, ten pin bowling, darts, etc. without littles running around! Yaaaaas! There’s also some food options, however we ate elsewhere. Be a big drunkish kid for a night. It’s fun. Find them inside the fun company, don’t get lost like we did…

I love cracker zas so much, it's such an awesome chill spot for adults with an amazing ambiance! The staff are super friendly and the arcade is well designed. I just wish they were less strict regarding their rules and I wish they had a better system. The bouncers are lovely people and I understand it's their job but they need to be less strict. The one told me I don't look like how I did in my ID because I had blonde hair and now it's dark???I also had my cracker zac card on me to show them that I've been there multiple times. I also saw a lot of people complain about the dress code however I've never been dress coded. If you look young the staff also bombard you for that, probably 5 staff members come to me to ask "why do I look so young"😂I get that it's their job but dear management, Please be less strict about these rules :)

Experience needs optimising via app or self service. The front desk staff are very busy and I think contributes to them being very dismissive and uninterested in helping. Wait staff didn't want to help with questions about things and just wanted to take orders for food and drinks. Booking/reserving darts and bowling is tedious and should be made easier via self serve or an app/site. Couldn't register my member card on the website as it said it was inactive. A number of people were having issues with the self service card top machine contributing to the front desk staff being hounded by people. Pool tables should also be app based for booking or tap to pay with the card as the mountains of coins piled waiting for turns easily extends beyond an average amount of visit time. My group left early because we couldn't seem to book for bowling with front desk due to communication issues or a lack of willingness to help. The air hockey table pinging all evening probably contributes to the front desk staff's attitude. Considering Google suggested the place was half as busy as usual, there were many people struggling to find a place to sit and made the experience overwhelming and uncomfortable. Games were fun. Connect 4 is best arcade style game. Darts and bowling are near impossible to get a chance to play. Menu is in collaboration with Bird & co. which was a nice surprise but worth noting.

Its a nice experience. The bowling is not normal ten pin bowling but a gamafied version of it. Little bit on the expensive side for the games and alcohol and the pizzas arent too bad. So my family and I decided to visit Cracker Zac for the first time and let me tell you the service was IMPECCABLE!!!!We received the best of service from the bouncers down to the waiters….Shout out to our waiter Lindiwe for an amazing service….and we love the new menu…let me not forget how phenomenal bowling was….Thank you cracker Zac!!!!!

I went for the second time and the energy was so good. We tried the second time around and it was really it and I couldn't recommend more to visit. The reception was absolutely amazing and I couldn't ask for better service

Overall a fun experience. Inconvenient that you have to go through the kiddies area to get to the venue, however it’s well tucked away. The queue to get in can get very discouraging. 10+ minutes wait time. The entrance card is R50 which gets you 5 plays on arcade games, have to pay separate for everything else. I found it worked out quite pricey to do all the activities. The food was very tasty, no fault there. The arcade games bring out your inner child and this was the most fun I had in a minute. Drinks are overpriced for sure. I would definitely go back and just do less activities, also get in early so I can get a good seat

Concept is great, but there needs to be a review on pricing for bowling. The staff are not very friendly or helpful too. It’s a very aesthetic place, but rigid rules of attire are not necessary. Please be conscious of the rigid attire rules before visiting the place.

This place has a lot of potential. It has an amazing vibe and a beautiful aesthetic. The biggest complaint I have is the pool tables. FIX YOUR POOL TABLES. If you want more customers to enjoy the pool area, fix the coin slots, have straight cues and lastly and most importantly, MAKE SURE THE TABLES ARE STRAIGHT. Please, get someone weekly or even monthly to re-align the pool tables for a better a experience. Other than that this place is absolutely fantastic.

The Cracker Zacks here in Rosebank is very blissful and fillled with smiles. As a content creator the staff was more than willing to accommodate us and help us take content. They curated a vibe and the lovely hostess’s Sephora and Gugu were taking care of our every need. With the biggest smile ever Nona the beautiful receptionist handled our bills in an orderly fashion as we did come as a gang. May they keep up their good work and be blessed for many moons.

A really fun day out, we opted for the darts and it really was great fun. We pre-ordered pizzas which was a disappointment, as they were supposed to be served at 14.00 but by 15.00 they hadn’t even started making our order. The service was average but there is a bar nearby to self order drinks from and luckily it wasn’t too busy on the day we went

The fusion of services offered is great for a group of friends with varying interests. From the bowling alley, darts, gaming arcade to just the bar and food set-up its definitely the right place to chill. The place guarantees fun for everyone. P.S note No shorts, No Sweat Pants!

Great place for a bunch of friends to get together, have a few drinks and have a fun time. There could be more bar staff to keep the drinks flowing, because they're all working at 110% capacity, but the drinks were all good. There were many recent negative reviews, so I was sceptical, but I didn't notice the same issues other's had noticed, and the place was busy so there must have been lots of other happy customers. A few small things to improve on, but otherwise a great place that is different to the rest.

It’s really hidden away was not expecting it to be inside the arcade so walking though that is kind of chaotic, but the actual place is not terrible I liked the games and the vibe in general were nice. I wish there was something exactly like this place but quieter with board game and half the amount of ppl.

Cracker Zacs has alway been and will always be the place to come for a chilled Jill with mates after lectures on a Friday, I won’t lie , this place needs to advertise it more as much as the waiters service , cordiality permits shout out to immaculate form the time I was loosing with bowling to the time she taught us and other guests how to win. What a fun and awesome concept. Come with your friends, play pool, air hockey, go bowling, have a few drinks, and experience the star of the show; the virtual darts. Cracker Zac’s is Rosebank Malls latest attraction. Equipped with a fully stocked bar and all the entertainment for “competitive socialising” as they call it, it is definitely going to be on everyone’s mind soon. I really enjoyed the fantastic service and all the different games to play with friends. My only gripe is the payment system in place… it takes way too long but I’m sure with a bar that’s only 3 weeks old, they will figure out ways to streamline it very soon. This place is definitely worth a visit. Bring a friend… or 4.
