Uthando is an incredible organization that offers impactful South African experiences to compassionate and inquisitive travelers, while simultaneously uplifting local communities in need. Being able to witness the beauty of South African culture up close and make authentic connections with South Africans of all ages - from young children, to successful entrepreneurs, to wise elders - completely shifted my perspective on life. I lived in Cape Town for nearly 6 months, and my time with Uthando stands out as one of my most meaningful experiences. Thanks James and Xolani - hope to see you again someday soon!

What a mind-blowing experience! Uthando supports local projects in different townships and really aims to develop and empower the individuals and the groups. It really exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend it. It's almost a MUST if you are visiting South Africa. The donation is 100% worth it and they deserve even more. The love, energy and determination Uthando puts in to make a difference to peoples' lives, is truly commendable.
