Reviews of HospiceWits Orange Grove Shop
Great Trifting. Quality at a steal. Top Managment
There are a few stores split off in sections and you may miss some stuff if you don't take a walk around. The book section is well stocked and organized, there are some decent large furniture pieces too but the rest is very understocked. They need clothes, toys, glassware, kitchenware and bedding desperately. The stores are also in need of some cleaning and maybe some better sorting and displaying it's very boring.
Good caring staff member
Wat an experience prices are negotiable ,most of office, home appliances available.
Donate they collect.
Well organized thrift store. Books have been categorized, collectables are also neatly arranged and clean. They have filtered out all the trash and left only reasonable quality goods.
love to brows around, looking for that one treasure peace from the second hand shops. fun outing and almost always find something that can become a master piece with some tlc
Who does not love a good bargain and this is the place to find it. This is one of those super large charity shops with several departments. In recent years they have added more boutique and antique sections. There is a bookshop, women’s clothing, men’s clothing, kids clothing, toy shop, shop with household ware and section which sells appliances and all sorts. All proceeds go to Hospice which is also great.
They also have a quaint and reasonably priced coffee shop which sells very basic meals (toasted sandwiches, and plates of chips, borewors rolls on saturdays etc.). My wife and I always end up having a cup of tea there when we visit.
Lots of this to buy here. I bought a bookshelf for my kids. They sell second hand goods. I find that they're pricey though I think you have to negotiate your price to pay for what it's worth.
Loved their book selection, got quite alot of books at a fraction of the cost.
Will definitely go back again.
Like going there. Lady at Baby stuff is really friendly. The other parts must learn to smile.
I don't like the new set up. It is an absolute mess. Does the management actually know what they are doing. The furniture too expensive. It is not Stuttafords or Wetherleys.
My fav place. You can donate you unwanted goods and what they do is that they would sell to the public and all the profits sent to charity. So the next time you wanna get rid of your old furniture, clothes, kitchen items etc, basically anything... Rather than throwing it away, drop it off at the Hospice. They have branches all over JHB if I'm not mistaken
Clean, well laid out and displayed. They really try hard. Lovely helpful staff. Always happy to pop in to see what they have.
I love the bargains and if you are patient and with a good eye, you will get amazing pieces.
Lots of treasures to be found by those with time to look around. Many, many books and glassware. Lots of crockery and utensils. Second hand clothes galore
Good Selection of things on offer and great prices. Supporting those in need. Good stuff
Wonderful retail therapy. Excellent prices, interesting thingies and useful items.
Fabulous coffee shop.
And every cent supports Hospice.
Finally found what I was looking for, little ramekins, thank you for the service you offer, donated boxes of goods I have not used for years.
If you are looking at buying novels this is a great place to get second hand good books
Good quality used clothing, and homeware at reasonable prices. Contributing to a very worthy cause.
Suddenly became overly expensive. Can't afford some of the things. Book shop still the best
Best place to get stuff..i have never gone wrong
Guilt-free shopping. Great bargains. Good deals on 2nd hand clothes. Highly recommended
It does what it means to . Just I think it could be marketed better but it's handled very well
Not like it used to be, too many dealers snapping up the good stuff.
Superb for real bargains on all sorts of second-hand goods
Hospice is not what it used to be. They have scaled down and the white elephant section is a big mess everything is just dumped...needs to be sorted...but look and you might just find a bargain!
I always find something interesting here & I love supporting Hospice. It's a worthwhile cause
Wonderful
Great variety! Great prices! All for a good cause.
I was quite disappointed to see the shop so empty, usually there is so much to see.
Well done, always friendly staff, keep up the good work
Love the work they do and staff so helpful and friendly!
If u have something plz donate, blessed is the hand that gives
Not impressed. Most of the shop is messy and over priced.
